Set your canvas to the finished size at 300 DPI in CMYK: 3×6 ft = 36×72 in = 10800×21600 px; 2.5×6 ft = 30×72 in = 9000×21600 px; 2×5 ft = 24×60 in = 7200×18000 px. Add 0.5 inch bleed on all sides, keep critical text 2 inches inside the trim, and leave the bottom 3–4 inches content-free (it wraps into the roller).
Software Setup Notes
Photoshop: File → New → set inches + 300 PPI + CMYK Color; rasterised text stays sharp at this resolution. CorelDRAW: set page to print size, export PDF with fonts converted to curves. Canva: use Custom Size in inches (Canva Pro allows CMYK PDF export; on free, export PDF Print and expect minor colour shift). Illustrator: work in CMYK document mode, outline fonts before export.
The Colour Shift Nobody Warns You About
